I'd suggest the old hag is actually how Jack sees his love for his son after molesting him....a second time. And, oh yeah, don't forget this realization is, ahem, after he returns to the 'empty' room. Just to be clear: the beautiful woman is the image of how he (initially) saw his love for his son, as beautiful, which is the only way a parent could do that to their child.

I've always thought that what's scariest is what we can't actually prove exists. There doesn't need to be any ghosts, but the energy in that hotel, being in a HUGE place when it's completely quiet, that's unnerving as Hell.

Daisy Bell, the song of choice for the first ever singing computer, 1961. A landmark in technological progress, a moment of triumph in computer history. In 2001, we see how far technology has come, and we experience the horror of a murderous computer singing that same song as it is about to be shut down.

You are right that old Coop would have been unable to do what the Fireman deemed necessary - which is why he failed. He did not confront his dweller on the threshold - his shadowself in the lodge hence his failure in the end of season 2. After confronting Mr. C is defeated her fully integrates the darker aspects of himself which allows him to make the necessary sacrifice.

I've been watching this again and again 🎥, I love the whole scene that builds up to the toothpaste squeeze, and the squeeze itself is brilliant 😂. Poor guy, he actually DOES have the makings of a great actor 🎭. I wish I had the opportunity to work with you, I've been in three movies 🎬, I have those appearances on my channel! This felt like its own unique thing in a big way 🌟 but knowing where I think you probably pull inspiration from, as a fan of some of the great directors 🎥 and their work, makes me appreciate it even more! Hilarious too, and eerie 😆👻. You strike the balance like Philippe Petit 🤹‍♂. 20 stars out of 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I hope you do more like these. Very interesting! 🤔

did you ever notice that in The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer BOB (possessing Laura) says word for word "I don't NEED anything. I want things."? It blew my mind when I read it recently. I think that undermines your theory that BOB isn't pulling the strings in season 3, altho Mr. C does act super different from Leland. I think thats because BOB kinda takes on the essence of his receptacle. Leland was a little boy when he got posessed whereas Dale was a super organized extremely calm rational detective so the entity manifests differently. Love your videos SO much you are the Twin Peaks season 3 authority I think hands down. Kudos

Finally someone who understands Dexter as much as I. When I have called him a monster with others, some don't seem to understand that he is a serial killer regardless that he was killing bad people. He was doing it for the adrenaline and release he got from it like a drug. I will always care and love Dexter. I always rooted for him up until he killed Logan. That was brutal, all to be free, selfish action. He was even ready to leave Harrison once again. It broke my heart, especially as a father. Great video. Thanks for sharing. ❤💙💚

Unpopular opinion: Kubrick deliberately created a piece with loose and purposefully ambiguous continuity to fuck with his audience and send them on a wild goose chase to find the answer, but maybe there actually isn't one. This film is a fantastic piece of art, so maybe worth seeing it as a piece of art rather than something that needs solving like a mathematical equation. The strength of human intrigue to find answers is incredibly strong, and Kubrick played with that as if it were a cat playing with a mouse, and there lies his genius.

Well done, sir! I have just turned 65. As a Sci-Fi geek(dare I use that word?) I never experienced the full scope of 2001 on the big screen, though had I done so, my young mind may have thought it as garbage, only much later in life did I see for myself the grand scope of Kubrick and his masterpeice! It is, in my opinion, in my top 5 of sci-fi, but typing that is too easy, and trying to explain 2001 to friends and family have fallen on deaf ears, who won't, or, can't understand why this movie is much more than that. I enjoyed the video very much, and I have seen a few of these videos from other sources, and yours, is the best, thought-out and mind blowing as is the "jump-cut" in the film. Thanks again!!!

At the core of both Sopranos and Twin Peaks is the grief that not only a parent didn't love / protect you but actively harmed you. We feel that it is so against nature (even though in nature many animals eat and kill their young), that to avoid facing that reality we have made up since the dawn of time complex supernatural and epic tales, myths, dreams, fantasies and explanations. Reality and memory are too much to cope with. There is really no mystery to Laura, she cannot be saved from pain and she saved her own soul through sacrifice. The mystery rather lays in Bad Cooper, Leland and everyone else who can be possessed to destroy and corrupt innocence.
